Bahn Shop - Dallas
Bahn Shop
Description
A bright fast-casual find in DFW Terminal D that elevates airport dining with fresh ingredients, bold broths and sensible prices. Standouts include a deeply flavored Vietnamese chicken soup, hearty steak banh mi and flavorful bowls like green curry or steak fire. Service is friendly and quick, with vegan and gluten-free options on offer; occasional stale baguettes and limited gluten-free bread are minor caveats.

I frequently pass through DFW and have dined here a few times. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and the staff is excellent. On this visit, I tried the green curry chicken bowl, and I highly recommend this restaurant over many of the other options available at the airport.
Fresh off the red eye from Honolulu, wanted something a cut above an egg biscuit...here it is! Got the steak and egg banh mi a crusty fresh roll with an omelet, sliced marinated beef, a bed of cilantro, a vegetable slaw, and sliced marinated cucumber. Wow and it was $4.95 $5.36 with tax). A wonderful alternative to bland airport food or texmex.
For those unfamiliar with Banh Mi, it's essentially a Vietnamese hoagie. They certainly don’t hold back on the grilled beef and pile on plenty of fresh vegetables. Their pan-Asian dishes are also impressively made, and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that the baguettes can sometimes be a bit stale. Overall, the Banh Shop is a favorite among travelers looking for something better than the usual corporate offerings.
Good drunken (rice) noodles, served on a bed of lettuce, but about 2 dollars too expensive. Disappointed the gluten-free version of banh mi advertised on the menu just means 'no bread at all. ' But it was pretty fast, and the fresh flavors make it special in DFW. I would eat here again if in terminal D.
