We had an amazing time! The private area was perfect for our surprise birthday party. Hosts Joshua and Mumbi went out of their way to make everything just right. The food was fantastic, and our server, Yosef, was organized and incredibly helpful. Everyone on staff, including the busser and dishwasher, was wonderful. A big shoutout to the chef for working hard to provide delicious, high-quality food! View all feedback.
What Quinn Dare doesn't like about Afrika Fusion:
I really wanted to love this restaurant, but it fell short of my expectations for authentic African cuisine. I ordered the grilled lamb, although I originally intended to have oxtail. Unfortunately, they informed me they were out of it. As for my meal, the jollof rice was disappointingly bland; I've had much better at other places in the East and Middle East. This was my first time having Fufu Goat Stew and I'm very pleased that I chose this restaurant to be the place to try it. The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful/pleasant! I will definitely add this to my list of favorites!
Great food, great service, Clean restaurant. The server was very nice. Made sure to tip her well.
So I came to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was the best decision we could've made. It was affordable and the service was impeccable, it wasn't too busy and the music was making the food taste even better. We'll definitely be back again!
We will never return to this restaurant. We were told that we could order samosas as an extra, but that information was incorrect, and we ended up being charged for them. While we don't mind paying for the samosas, the issue was that they gave us one side dish that we didn’t request. They refused to replace it and wouldn’t provide a takeout container for our leftovers. When we tried to speak to the manager, he simply looked at us and did nothing. It seemed they were not welcoming to customers who aren't African. On the plus side, the grilled meat was good, and the music was somewhat enjoyable (we were there around 7 PM on a Thursday), but overall, the experience was chaotic and disappointing. I won’t be returning to this establishment.
While the lamb was tender and easy to chew, it lacked flavor and seasoning, which was really disappointing. The cream of spinach was just okay—nothing to write home about. I can’t say I’d return. On the plus side, the portion sizes were generous, but I didn’t manage to capture that in my photos.
