Great Wall Chinese Buffet - Dalhart

We've had Chinese food in several places throughout Texas, and even the United States while traveling in our RV. The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Dalhart is probably the best Chinese food we've had in Texas, and maybe even in our travels throughout the USA. We had the shrimp lomein, vegetable lomein, pork fried rice, fried dumplings, and crab cheese wonton. Well done Great Wall! We'll be back on our next trip through.

Buffet is back open, food was all very tasty, and the price was very reasonable. My wife wanted soup on our way back home to Oklahoma, this came up in the map search. Glad we stopped. Update Oct 2021 Stopped in again, very relaxing music and good buffet. Now our favorite lunch stop in Dalhart.

Traveling through Texas, passed this place and its okay. Rice is okay I had the general tso chicken, and it was too much breading, and usually when I get it at other places it?s crispy. This chicken crust was mushy. I edit the two starts to one because the chicken was questionable. Maybe they?re serving old food but chicken doesn?t look like that. If they can?t get the most basic dish down, the other dishes probably aren?t great either

Considering what it is and where it is, it has greatly surpassed the expectation. Place was completely clean, buffet extensive, food fresh and healthy, and the staff was excessively courteous and friendly. A good break from burger, pizza or burrito.

Eating is good. Sometimes it is hot, sometimes it is room temp or cooler. Diversity is not worth the cost. I paid the same amount for the double selection. You have a TV to watch. But they were never there when I was here.
