Extensive menu with two vegetarian dishes. Many different types of fruit on the plate, which the owner gave detailed explanations with great enthusiasm. Actually, I thought this was the best part of lunch and this way you also eat all the fruit Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Fruit was a bit dry, and steak tough. Commentary by owner during lunch was funny and informative Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Turned up at 3:30pm desperate for a coffee and scone and it was closed and no one around even though website said 4pm.
To be fair, we were in a 20 person group and many of the others were quite satisfied. I and my wife were not among those, however. I ordered a kangaroo, which was supposed to be rare or medium rare. What I got was way overcooked, closer to well done, and overcooked kangaroo is simply not good. My wife has a specific (rare) allergy, which the restaurant was supposed to have been informed of in advance. However, that was completely ignored and the main course had a significant amount of the ingredient in question (which, by the way was not mentioned in the menu). It was possible to remove it, leaving the chicken however, that was so overcooked and dry that it was hardly edible, so she left it untouched. The drink offered with the meal was some unpecified fruit drink, where no information on the contents was available, so we could not determine if it was safe to drink. No alternatives like a Diet Coke or carbonated water were available. The dessert was the low point of the meal, again with the potential allergen being sprinkled on top. When my wife asked if it was possible to get the dessert without the sprinkles , the responses were so rude and unprofessional that we walked out. So, this place joins my very short list of never again restaurants. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
