Was NicolaB at Bricklayers Arms a mag?

The food and service were excellent. The only downside was that the menu listed on the website was completely different from the menu available that night. There were not many dairy-free options to choose from. View all feedback.

What MrsB dislikes about Bricklayers Arms:

Disappointing didn't have the wine we wanted, didn't have sauce asked for to go with fish chips, didn't have decaf coffee. Pavlova pudding was a cheap, very hard piece of meringue with a few chopped up strawberries in juice. View all feedback.

We visited this restaurant again to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff took excellent care of us and we enjoyed a lovely lunch with stunning views outdoors. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the mushroom pastry and salmon pate, followed by duck and the most amazing fish and chips. The dessert, a sticky toffee pudding, was the best we've ever had. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine selection. While it may not be the most affordable option, the high-quality food and outstanding service make it well worth the price.

The toast beef was tacky and stringy and had to be sent back. Vegetables were underwhelming and sparse. The staff were delightful. I’ve been going for years and it was much better and different before the restaurant was sold to new owners . Very expensive for one course and a glass of wine. Sadly I won’t be going back

The Bricklayer's Arms in Flaunden is a dependable choice for a special occasion. The food is consistently outstanding; yesterday, I had wonderfully tender lamb with a tarragon jus, followed by an incredible yuzu lemon dessert accompanied by raspberry sorbet. The service is top-notch, and they even treated us to complimentary ice cream upon learning we were celebrating an anniversary. There's also a wide selection of wines available, including options by the glass.

The food was outstanding, and the portion sizes were generous. We were happy we skipped the starter and opted to share the Dandelion and Burdock sticky toffee pudding, which was absolutely delicious! The only drawback during our visit on Sunday was the noise level, as the Bricklayers is deservedly popular and some patrons were quite lively and cheerful.

The food here was phenomenal, great variety of choice, beautifully presented, and tasted delicious! The only qualm with the food was that I was not asked how I wanted my beef cooked and so it wasn’t cooked to my preferred taste but was still very enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and attentive but it did feel like the service wasn’t very personable. However this may have been due to it being a busy service as all the girls were very polite. The only issue I had with the whole experience was being seated by the kitchen the door would swing a little too vigorously sometimes and would therefore hit the back of the chair I was seated at, which was little off putting. The overall experience was wonderful and we would definitely come back!!

Reception was friendly especially as we'd booked the wrong place! Service was excellent but the food was exceptional, wine was superb and they'd even laid on a spectacularly sunny afternoon! Chilled and relaxed afternoon to boot.

Return guests celebrate our high-time anniversary. the employees were amazing to look brilliant. we had lunch outside with a wonderful view. that was delicious. we started with the mushrooms in pastries and salmon, followed by duck and the best fishing and chips. the desert was the best sticky toffee pudding ever. they also have an excellent wine list. while it is not cheap the quality of food and great service make it worth every penny.

The food was lovely as we have come to expect but afraid to say the service wasn’t good. We ordered coffee at the end of our meal and after a 20 minute wait we decided that we would give up and grab the bill. Couldn’t get the attention of the team serving as all 3 were preoccupied with a table of 4. Eventuality we got up and paid on the way out. Disappointing
