Overall, it was decent. The staff were satisfactory. I've experienced both freshly prepared meals and some that may have sat under the heat lamp a bit too long, but it wasn't too disappointing. The manager seemed to be working hard, putting in 80 hours a week on salary—poor guy.
I had a terrible experience at this Burger King. I ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches plain, with just extra spicy glaze. When I got to my vehicle, I found they were made with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. I took them back inside for them to fix my sandwiches the way I ordered. To my surprise, an older gentleman, who I believe was the manager with gray hair, opened the incorrect sandwiches, removed the chicken, scraped off the lettuce, tomato, and mayo, and put the same chicken on new sandwiches! I confronted him about reusing the chicken from the returned sandwiches, and he seemed shocked. He told me it would take a couple of minutes for new ones. When I finally received my newly made sandwiches, they were exactly the same as before, just with spicy glaze—still included lettuce, tomato, and mayo. At that point, I gave up and decided to call corporate to file a complaint and received credit for the sandwiches. It's ridiculous that a manager thought it was acceptable to reuse chicken from returned sandwiches. Just nasty. I won't be coming back to this Burger King.
Once a month, I make a 100-mile drive to Denver for work, and the highlight of the trip is stopping at Burger King for a Whopper Junior. The food is consistently delicious, the service is quick and friendly, and the views of the Front Range from there are stunning.
I made the mistake of not counting my change after ordering a Whopper JR at Burger King, which costs $4. I gave the cashier a $20 bill but only got $3 back. It seems the $20 wasn’t properly entered into the register. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I’ll be more careful with my change from now on. The menu can be a little overwhelming, but next time I’ll be sure to double-check my transaction.
