I had the best mofongo with shrimp in a long time—absolutely delicious! My date loved it too. The service was outstanding as well. There's nothing quite like enjoying great food close to home. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rice And Bean Cuban Cuisine:
I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars because I love seafood. I ordered some shrimp and wished I could have had 7 to 10 more—at $1.99 each, I thought it was a bit pricey. There were other things I noticed, but I didn't delve into them much. It's also important to remember that we should continue following COVID precautions, such as washing our hands and using gloves for food handling. View all feedback.
Great food in a random stripe center. You could miss if you didn't know it was there. First return since Covid, glad it's still there! Food and service were great. I ordered Cuban picadillo with rice, beans and curtains!! Think I'm hungry now!! Back!
I was expecting a lot more from the reviews. #cuban. The Ropa Viega was excellent. The monfongo was drenched in garlic, horrible. It tasted like they added an entire clove of garlic in it. The stuffed yucca was bland and overly fried in oil. The oil on the yucca smelled nasty. The Treis leches cake was amazing. This place was hit and miss. No consistency. It was too expensive for the quality of the food. I will never return. If you go, do not order anything fried.
I had such a taste for a good Cuban Sandwich...but I opted for the Pan Con Bistec instead. It was very good. I love when the servers that work at a restaurant are honest with the patrons. It always makes for a better experience. The server that plays the fence and doesn't have an opinion on the food served hurts the business. I read a previous review of the Sandwich Cubano which stated it was bland and the honest server politely agreed. I'm glad they did. Their recommendation of the Pan Con Bistec was right on The sandwich was full of flavor only lacking a little Mayo for my taste and once I added that...?. The Fries were good too. I'll be back for the great service and good food. My partner had the Cazuela de Mariscos..it looked phenomenal.
My toddler is super picky and mostly likes rice and beans, so we figured we?d have luck finding some here? considering the name of the place. I loved our dishes. The Cuban platter came with an amazing Cuban Tamale, along with plantains (maduros) and other stuffed things: yuca, potatoes, etc. Do yourself a favor and get a side of rice and beans too (come on! It?s the name of the restaurant) I like the flavors a lot. My husband got the churrasco platter, and the meat was tender. I will also add that the place was clean, service was good, music was lively, and prices were more than fair. Will definitely come back.
Labor Day fiasco. They were out of everything we ordered?according to one lady. The next lady said they had everything we had originally ordered. As of 6 pm?they were out of nearly everything on the specials board at the entry way. Yet?the board was still up?with all specials still listed. The first appetizer ?tamal cubano? was cold in the center and there was no meat for the first 1 1/2? in. We sent it back. The second one was nuked properly. The ham croquette (3) was edible. We asked for a sangria?shocker, they were out of that, too. They were out of mofongo, so second choice was fried pork chunks. Which, they originally said they were out of. The pork was icy in the middle. It wasn?t raw, which means it was precooked and not heated properly. We sent it back. I ordered the mahi mahi and shrimp, which one lady said they were out of. The next lady said they had one left. It smelled delicious, but the fish was overcooked. The shrimp was decent. Quickly tasted the black beans?to check temperature. They were seasoned well. Once we said we weren?t paying for the dinner, it took the manager a solid eight minutes to come out and address the issue?which he tried to give us excuses. Won?t be back. Wouldn?t even take the free food to go.
