Mike's Seafood - Cypress

My wife and I were in the mood for seafood and decided to try someplace new close to home. We noticed that Mike's Seafood had very positive reviews, and we are so glad we stopped by. Even though the cocktail sauce is not as hearty as I normally like it, the shrimp cocktail has great flavor with just a dash of heat to liven the taste buds. The fried shrimp are large, lightly battered, and fried to perfection. The side of cocktail sauce has a thicker consistency, and the tartar sauce is creamy and tangy. The seasoned fries are crispy and flavorful. The reviews of fellow food lovers are spot on for our new addition to our favorite local eateries.

Visiting my daughter and was in the need for some good Cajun food. The staff was friendly and the food was fresh, spicy and outstanding. Nothing else needs to be said.

This place has gone down hill since my last visit. The staff seems much younger, which was ok, but the food was not as good . I ordered fried fish and it was mushy and pretty tasteless. The mixed veggies were so hot I couldn't get their plastic container open at first. Again, no seasoning, and pretty mushy. It wasn't a very satisfying meal. I probably won't be back.

Mike, yall missed it on this one. I ordered grilled Talapia with just steamed rice and hushpuppies. My grilled Talapia was as hard as a boot sole. The time I waited/wasted at your 529 location, I can't get back, but I know not to make the same mistake twice!
