Floyds Seafood Cypress

My son and husband absolutely love the crab at this restaurant! Whether it's the snow crab, crab bisque, or crab fingers, they enjoy every bit of it. My husband is also a fan of the raw oysters. While I know it's primarily a seafood restaurant, they serve the best burgers I've ever tasted. The bun they use is simply delicious!

I’m new to Floyd’s cuisine and I have genuinely enjoyed nearly every meal. I’ve tried the burger, bread pudding, seafood pasta, and some delicious alcohol-infused drinks. The drinks were flavorful, though not very strong. The seafood pasta was tasty, but I encountered some hard small shells from the shrimp and other seafood, which I kept having to spit out since they were indigestible. I spoke with one of the managers, who explained that the lump crab meat can be difficult for the chef to separate from the shell, so it’s common for small shell pieces to end up in the dish. Because of this, I’ve decided not to order it again. I learned that I could request the seafood sauce and have it served over chicken Alfredo instead, since they don’t prepare the seafood meat with the sauce. I tried this suggestion and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken Alfredo with the seafood sauce. The meal also came with garlic bread, which I liked. I gave the restaurant 4 stars due to the issue with the seafood pasta having small shell particles.

I highly recommend avoiding the fish tacos. They were dry and had brown edges. The mahi was nearly nonexistent, consisting of small, dry cubes of fish. The overall experience was enough for me to decide against ordering them again.

They have sweet tea!! It’s really good! I love this place! Everything is great, but you can’t leave without trying the crab bisque. It is delicious! It comes with a piece of garlic bread and rice. The calamari is amazing! The marinara sauce is like nothing I’ve ever had before. Literally could eat the sauce by itself. Chicken fried steak is huge and the crawfish was tasty too. The “Famous Seafood Salad” is large enough to go split. The salad is very fresh. Comes with large boiled shrimp plus lump crab meat on top of a bed of lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, onions and mushrooms. The little guy had the kid’s cheeseburger. It was served hit and fresh on a basket of fries. Our server, Connor, was very attentive. We usually eat here once every few months. It’s a great treat!

Grilled oysters was decent, shrimp and crab cakes tasted fishy and crab cakes over cooked with a hard shell, garden salad and oysters was bland. Crawfish bisque was really good. Real pricey for the food portion. Service was good and attentive. Very disappointed, expected better, won't be be back, seafood money better served elsewhere.
