We tried someplace new last Sunday... here's the review... ? The Jalapeno Cornbread with the Maple butter ???... my favorite thing there. We ordered 2 more to go. I ordered the potato flautas with mac and cheese. Don't recommend the flautas were weird flavored and the Mac and Cheese was grainy. The guys loved the brisket! The sausage was ok but not great. The chicken fajitas as a choice of meat was primo. Ordering th... View all feedback.
What Brandon Finken doesn't like about Burro Bull:
Cool place, cool concept. Very pricey for the most part. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a drink and it was $18 and some change. Worst part was that the chicken wasn't all the way cooked. The guy said they smoke it first then grill it but it definitely wasn't fully cooked. At least the fries were good. I want to come back and try other items just not the chicken. View all feedback.
The service was friendly but the food was mediocre and expensive. I had brisket tacos and pork and beans. The beans were described as smoked baked beans. They were literally pork and beans from a can. Happy hour was a joke. $2 off $12 drinks. My friend and I realized how bad things were when we were 2 of maybe 6 non employees in the restaurant on a Friday afternoon before Memorial Day. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!!
The brisket tacos were awesome. The customer service and friendliness was great. I could tell they appreciate their customers. I was disappointed by the Mac and cheese, I expected a more comfort food feel rather than the typical dish. With that being said, I mixed the red sauce in with the Mac and cheese for my leftovers and it's a win. I'll be back!
This Queso cost $5.19, the guacamole was $5.19. These came with chips, but still a laughable amount of sauces. Surprisingly, the bbq meals don 't come with bbq sauce; You have to buy it as as an extra . So we ordered the $6.90 side of bbq sauce. We thought it would be enough sauce for all of us, not just for the baby. Pictured is $6.90 worth of their bbq sauce. I mean, really? That 's a Jell-O shot. A bottle of that would be what, $80? While the meat was great, I cannot get over the tablespoon of sauces for full price. Imagine ordering queso and chips for the table and getting 4-5 chips worth of queso. At chipotle you get more queso for a 1/3 of the price. Again it 's good food but be ready to buy 8-10 $7 bbq sauces, 10-12 guacamoles and somewhere in the ballpark of 17 quesos. If you 're counting, that 's like $200 of sauces lol.
I understand the meaning of “inflation location “, but 2.50 for an onion , ? Carl’s has it going! More for the buck sorry ?
As Marvin Zindler on KTRK TV13 used to say, The food was off temperature . My brisket tacos came out to me stone cold. Also, the tortillas were quite dried out. I would say the portion sizes were small. This place was way overpriced, honestly, I thought it was two times too much money. We were first time customers, and I doubt we will be back. 2 brisket tacos $19.00 1 single meat plate $15.50 self serve iced tea $3.00 Look at the prices you decide. I think you get a much better deal at this lunch only place called Tacoland Mex Mex Tacos at 290 and Telge.
