We wanted our curries to be medium spices (we like our spices), but even for us it was too spicy!! But the flavors were good and the salted Lassi was beautiful. The great disadvantage was the service. It took 45 minutes to get our starter and then come another 20 minutes for the net to what time we lost our appetite. Bearing in mind that the restaurant was not full, this has set our experiences a downer.

The popadoms were among the best we’ve had and clearly made right then. Atmosphere was great (it’s on the second floor and the nondescript entrance is right below. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Tikka Masala tasted like cheap instant tomato soup from a sachet with chicken dropped in. My partner couldn’t eat it. I had the jalfrezi, was watery and hot and filled with vegetables you wouldn’t expect in a Jalfrezi. Couldn’t eat it. I have eaten Indian food all my life and sad to say it was the poorest experience I’ve had.
