A local friend took me here for a meal one night and I loved it. We had pollos roaster and the purple corn juice, chicha morada. Service was good, although since I was with a native Peruvian it was easier for me. Not sure how they would do with an English speaker. Food was very fresh. Chicken was delicious and the best I had during my two week trip to Peru.

I'm a student in Cusco for two months, so I can't afford to eat at the touristy restaurants that often. You won't get anything fancy here, but you will get a lot of good food for a good price. Breakfast ranges from S. 9 S. 12, and the lunch menu is S. 13 for a starter, soup, main course, and drink. These prices are comparable (maybe a little bit higher) to what you'd see in the rest of Cusco outside of the tourist areas, and compared to a few similarly priced places nearby that I tried, the food is a lot better. Be aware that the set menu is not offered for dinner, but there is still a great variety of dishes for a reasonable price. They also have a selection of cakes and pies that look delicious, although I haven't tried one myself. If you're in Cusco looking for an authentic local place, or just to save a little money, I'd highly recommend coming here.
