Very good food and large portions. Nice casual atmosphere for a cheap family dinner. Service was pushed tonight due to the amount of people in the Resturant as it was packed! Their fried ice cream is the best View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kim Hee Chinese Restaurant Currambine:
If I'm running late and haven't prepared anything for the evening meal, this handy local Chinese restaurant is my stand-by take-away. It is literally "just up the road" and has a good range of the standard favourites at reasonable prices. View all feedback.

Ok so this is not the closest Chinese restaurant to where I live but it is my favourite by far The staff are so lovely and the food is fantastic.

Not the best by far, decor plain and drab, like sitting in a school canteen. Smells from kitchen come through and you leave smelling of burnt oil.
We've lived in the area for more than 20 years, and the Kim Hee is our go-to Chinese whether for eating in or takeaway. If you eat in, be prepared to wait a while as this restaurant is so popular with take away orders that you can hear the wok out the back sizzling constantly while you are there! When we sat down there was a prompt delivery of menus, prawn crackers and cold water to the table. Then the waitress came pretty soon after to ask if we were ready to order. The first dish, the special fried rice, came out quite quickly but we had to wait a while longer for the main dishes to come out, then the plain rice was last. They forgot my daughter's extra serve of prawn crackers but when we could get their attention they were apologetic and brought them quickly. Their chicken curry is the best I've tasted at a Chinese, the meat tastes like chicken, not the gluey mess some Chinese restaurants serve up, and the sauce is just the right heat and flavour. Its not fancy food, but it's tasty, filling and the best Chinese in the area. They used to bring hot towels and orange slices after the meal, but they seem to have stopped this now. I suspect its under new management as the décor has changed as well. It's BYO, but we don't drink much anyway and are happy with a jug of soft drink or juice for the whole family. And we always get the remainder to take home for a delicious lunch the next day!
