It seems this style of Chinese cuisine isn’t quite for us, as all three of us found each dish—though served fresh and hot—to be quite disappointing and lacking in flavor, almost tasting bitter. It feels as though they are overly cautious with sugar, which is a crucial element of flavor. We typically don’t enjoy sweet dishes, but a hint of sugar is necessary to enhance other tastes. There was also a noticeable absence of umami. Despite the good service, we won’t be returning to this restaurant.
I just returned from dining at this lovely restaurant, and I must say it was a clean and inviting place. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the fillet fish with cabbage (I ordered it non-spicy, but the spicy version might be even better). The cauliflower with pork belly was also excellent. Plus, the service was impeccable!
If you enjoy authentic spicy Hunan cuisine, this is the place for you! The food is served quickly, showcasing impressive cooking skills with wholesome garlic and spices that are truly authentic. Don't miss the unique stir-fried eggplant dish, stewed pork, string beans, and sliced pork rice noodles!
Five stars every step of the way. What a pleasure to try a dish from this restaurant. I got fish fillets with peppers.
