Friendly pleasant staff a... read more Stopped here after a visit to the Deer Centre. Food was good, solid pub grub. Prices were great value given the decent sized portions. Friendly pleasant staff and a quiet atmosphere. Enjoyable all round. Only complaint, the sizable burgers could have done with firmer buns. Also, the chilli served on the chiili burger was ace, you should have that on the menu!

The food was piping hot, skillfully assembled, and offered great value for money.

Despite initially planning to dine in at the Tavern, we decided to ha... read more We would like to thank Brian and the rest of the staff for our enjoyable Christmas dinner. Despite initially planning to dine in at the Tavern, we decided to have our meal delivered due to Covid restrictions. The food was delivered on Christmas eve, all packaged and ready to be heated up the next day. From the delicious prawn cocktails to the turkey and beef in red wine with all the trimmings, the meal was fantastic. The plum duff and trifle were also very good. We look forward to dining in at the Tavern in the future, but in the meantime, we highly recommend the takeaways. Thank you again, Tom and Mary.
