The restaurant, located in an old library, has a small courtyard for dining. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or looking for a place to unwind after a hike, BiblioTaco is a solid choice in the Comox Valley. The tacos, burrito bowls, and vegetarian options receive high praise from visitors for their flavor and freshness.
Created in the location of the former Cumberland library hence the name of this restaurant a pun on the French word for library. The veggie burrito is my favourite it is packed (a mix of kale, sweet potatoes, corn, along with more conventional burrito fare like rice, refried beans and hot sauce). They are quite familiar with how to veganize it due to my family being regulars but in case someone new is on, you need to drop the mayo and cheese and add guacamloe. Most of their food is made on premises or sourced locally, they serve Abuelos organic corn chips, for example, which are made locally in the Comox Valley and they make their own fresh salsa and guacamole. The restaurant is compact and cosy and the people who work there are very friendly. This place is well worth a visit if you are in the area. [EDIT: My family were regulars here but never go here any more. the reason is that, while the owner is super nice and friendly, he is not always there and the service is not welcoming for vegans when he is not there] Updated from previous review on 2016 11 23
On the site of the former Cumberland library therefore the name of this restaurant creates a coin on the French word for library. the veggie burrito is my favorite it is packaged (a mix of kale, sweet carrots, mais, along with more conventional burrito teas like rice, fried beans and hot sauce.) they are very familiar with how to add it due to my family is regular, but for the case that someone is new, they must fall the mayo and cheese and guacame. most of their foods are made in the rooms or made in front of places, they are used for example deerless organic maize chips that are produced locally in the comox valley and they make their own fresh salsa and guacamole. the restaurant is compact and cozy and the people who work there are very friendly. this place is worth a visit if they are in the opposite. Cumberland is a wonderful small town on Vancouver Island near Comox and courtney. We were looking for a place to eat and ordered a Roasted Veggie Burrito and it was fantastic. The helpings are huge and the prices are reasonable.Waiters came to check on us 2x to see how we were doing. We ate outside on a patio table and it was great
Have been wanting to try this spot for months now and mad at ourselves for not getting there sooner. Cumberland Character location, friendly staff & amazing food. We both had pork burritos with guacamole. They were juicy and full of everything you'd want in a delicious fresh wrapped burrito.
