Please bear in mind this is a backstreet, very traditional eatery, nothing elegant or fancy, but just about as authentic as it gets in Cuernavaca. People come from far and wide to sample the fare, but you won 't find it in any guide book, and you 'll need a good map or a taxi to find it! As I said, here it 's all about the tostadas. To order, go to the bar and choose from the many toppings they have arranged, the menu will change according to what they have prepared, but alongside the regular chicken/mushroom/ beef/pork/nopales selections you 'll find more exotic options such as trotter (pata) and brain (sesos). You can ask for a combinado too with two different toppings. I personally like the pata, and the tinga is good too (spicy shredded chicken) but be prepared, most options will have plenty of chilli in them. They serve beer and soft drinks and horchata. This is a brilliant option for those on a budget and more adventurous types looking for a real authentic eating experience.
