Obviously they have lots of outdoor seating but we sat in the bar, which is a long room and feels very much like a local pub. We enjoyed good service and very good beer; and they also provided some nice complementary tapas. Frequented by ordinary local guys, this is a top bar.

Bohdan spoke no English but with our limited Spanish we were able to communicate with him and it was an added bonus that the menu was also in English. We stayed in Cuenca for two nights and ate here twice. It is patronised by locals which is always a good sign. As a side dish we had a pig's ear, just for the experience of having a local dish tasty but fatty. The starter tuna salad was sufficient for a main course and the solomillo de cerdo was a melt in the mouth delight. The second night we had fish which was equally as delicious. Highly recommended restaurant.

If it's true that people took a little more of the bill to bring the drink, but it's worth it.
