I wish I discovered this place sooner! Cute little family owned restaurant and My fav meal I’ve had in Cuenca. Menu del dia: fresh juice, soup, rice, beans, plantains and chicken and dessert for $5. You can tell everything was made of high quality and good flavor. I’m not even vegetarian and would go back just because it was that delicious! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Had the Menu del Dia set meal(5$)whoch includes a drink, a soup, a main dish and something sweet. The soup was vegetable soup. The main dish was chickpea and vegan sausage stew w rice and beets w lettuce. Overall really nice and definitely worth the price. The waitress was really nice and showed me the full current menu on her phone since there wasn't a printed one, perhaps because it's a new menu. I asked about the pancakes mentioned in the menu that's put up on the doors at the entrance and she said they're vegan. There wasn't much attention or money put into the design place but that's a bonus after good food and cheap prices. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–5 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Comer Sanar Vivir was by far my favorite dine-in restaurant in Cuenca. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was inviting and warm. From all the restaurants, my lady and I have tried Giovanni's food, service, and climate, which stood apart from the rest. In comparison, other restaurants had either poor service or their food looked and even tasted like slop. However, Comer Sanar Vivir showed appreciable care and consideration when creating a hospitable climate and presenting quality food. And although Comer Sanar Vivir is primarily a vegetarian restaurant, Giovanni and his crew made sure to cater to us vegans without complaint or hesitation. If the option were available, I'd rate this restaurant a 10/10. Thank you, Comer Sanar Vivir, for the kindness and love you not only show your customers but also your food. Hands down, Comer Sanar Vivir is one of the best restaurants in Cuenca and houses the best chef and cook! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $5–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This charming spot offers delicious food with a warm, welcoming vibe. Vegan options are available upon request, and they’re as tasty as they look. A must-visit for a satisfying meal in a cozy setting.
The food here was very good. I had the lunch of the day which currently cost $4.50. it came with a glass of fruit juice, a bowl of soup, and the main plate with a cabbage wrap, potato casserole, and mixed veggies. There was also a tiny piece of chocolate cake for dessert. The service was friendly and the dining room is attractive. I hope to return before I leave Cuenca. Note that they offer a meal of the day 7 days a week whereas most of the other vegetarian restaurants in Cuenca only offer it Monday through Friday. Updated from previous review on 2024-06-26
