My favorite place to eat in Cuenca. Delicious vegan dishes and large portions. I couldn't finish my meal 2 of the 3 times I visited. I recommend the Andina bowl with Quinoa. Smooths are also solid.
To really experience the genie of paúl and his team, we recommend you try the tasting menu we have eaten. eating on the local kitchen not only tastes good, it looks like a Michelin star restaurant.
Nice, 100% vegan place. The bread with the vegan cheese was on the spot. There was no smoothie on the menu, but I asked for one and it was great! The cookie was okay, but we took a chocolate dessert to go and it was great.
Cafe Libre, which has recently reopened in a new location, is now located next to Savia. We visited during their first week at the new spot and were impressed by the gourmet food offerings. We enjoyed dishes such as baked Focaccia with 3 dips, banana and cheese croquettes, and the four seasons tasting menu which included 'sea' falafels, salad, and a quinoa moussaka dish. For dessert, we tried coconut and lemongrass foam, passion fruit and banana gelato, and a raw chocolate nut ball. The service was excellent, with the chefs even coming out to speak with us. The restaurant itself is modern and stylish, with great music to enhance the ambiance. Located in a quiet area near the university, Cafe Libre comes highly recommended.
