Nice little brasserie, the staff is very courteous. The dishes are plentiful. Well-stocked aperitif plate, several mussel recipes, you can also taste meat, the desserts are great. Everything was perfect. To recommend Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 View all feedback.
What Ger Huet doesn't like about Brasserie Philippe:
Simple restaurant where many locals come. Menu normal prices. Then you expect that it must be good. But the food was very disappointing. I ate a cod that was still swimming in a much too strong chorizo sauce with limp fries. With a larger salad. That was nice. The covered terrace is located on a busy road, the exhaust fumes billow inside. The neighbors is a meeting place for young people. Their rough music and loud g... View all feedback.
This must be our fifth visit? yet again superb food and service from the excellent hosts. Food this time was crab farci for two and terrine de campagne for me. For mains we were all different, entrecôte with pepper sauce, moules marinieres and aile de raie. All dishes were superb. And the cost - about €75!!! And that included a half litre of white nd a quarter litre of red. This place is truly good value and excellent simple french food. 5 stars!!!
Yet another trip to Phillipe. As ever excellent food and service and great value. What we love about this place is that it is so popular with the locals. The place was packed. We took our daughter and her partner and had between us, Coquilles St Jaques, Goat's cheese on toast; Boeuf Bourguignon, Cod in a leek sauce, Entrecôte ice creams and crepe coffees and wine. Bill for the lot was €150. So the value is there; but so was the quality and the service. This place is the best of French family run restaurants. Nothing fancy, just stunning value food and service.
Great French Bistro with excellent food and very welcoming patron and staff. This is place the locals use so must be good. Essential to book a table at busy times eg Saturday night or Sunday Lunch or you will be disappointed.
Service: Dine in
