She was absolutely fantastic... read more We had a mid-week dinner here and left very pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food.First, a shout-out to our server Lupita. She was absolutely fantastic on everything from suggesting a good Mexican red to taking care of all the little things that a good server does quickly, efficiently, and without out us having to ask for stuff (sometimes a rarity in Mexico City). Sit in her section if you can.We started off splitting a "Siciliana" salad - an arugula-based salad that was very good, and split into just the right size for sharing. We also tried a cup of the tomato cream soup, which has a poppy-seed anointed pastry topping ... it was good. For dinner, I had the Penne Griega, a nice tomato/goat cheese combo sauce goes with that. My companion had the filete - it came out just as ordered and was a very nice cut of meat.It was a wonderful evening weather-wise and we sat at one of the sidewalk tables. There really wasn't much traffic noise and it was an overall pleasant place to have dinner.

The ser... read more This place was suggested to use and we went on reviews of others. I had the duck with cherry sauce and it was wonderful. Best duck that I have ever had. The service was good and we enjoyed the entire meal. Our only complaint and it might have been our fault they asked where we would like to sit and we said outside. There were two none smoking signs on the wall, but folks were smoking. When we asked about it they said this is our smoking section. I wanted to say well then tell us or take down the signs.

The owner of the Red Tree House suggested Rojo... read more As always, we try to look for that one place to have that last great meal before leaving any city we're visiting. The owner of the Red Tree House suggested Rojo, said this was probably a restaurant we'd really like, and he was right. Not too far from the RTH, the walk along Amsterdam is nice and I can't believe there was so much more in and around this great neighborhood.Warm and friendly greeting when we walked up. Nice atmosphere...we opted for a table inside, but they do have a nice patio in front. Our server was friendly and as always, "Lo siento, mi Espanol no es muy bueno." She just smiled and said it was okay but proceeded to speak to us in Spanish. Even telling us the Spanish equivalent for each thing we ordered, which I thought was a great help for me.I ordered the pear salad with gorgonzola, walnuts, and a delicious passion fruit dressing....very good! The partner had the lentil soup with ginger and cardamon which he said was amazing!!! I then ordered the special chicken with cilantro pesto over rice, which was delicious, but I did wish there were some vegetables with it. The partner had the Pechuga de Pollo al Limón which was really good and came with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables.We would've ordered dessert but the starters were big and there wasn't any room believe it or not. I would've came back to this place had we found it earlier. Definitely worth coming to. Can't wait to come back when I return!

The wine list is big enough with great choices, it was hard for me to select a bottle, since they had a huge variety, and the price was very inexpensive...I closed my Business meeting with a great smile!!The creme brûlée was so yummy.Best restaurant in la Condesa.
