I am a huge green curry fan and I go almost weekly to a restaurant in Roma Norte called Galanga to get their green curry tofu dish, which is absolutely delicious. However I wanted to try Mibong as it's in my neighbourhood. I can honestly say I will never go to Mibong again.The "green curry" version they gave me tasted like salt and green chilis, and that was it. None of that beautiful thai basil aroma that's supposed to be in the dish. I could only stomach about 5 mouthfuls of it because it was so salty (I love salt, but this was just unpleasant). The tofu was so undercooked that it was basically mush on the inside. The dish was so salty that you could barely taste the coconut milk flavour, of which there definitely wasn't enough. I think they watered down what is supposed to be a very coconut-y dish so that it was mixed with some salty broth? Anyway, it was flavourless other than the salty flavour and some spice.Also, the price was unreasonable. I did not get anything other than the vegetarian green curry (no drinks or appetizers) and my bill was 192 pesos! That is rediculous! Even at Galanga, which has a much higher quality dish and a much, much nicer restaurant in a more expensive area, only charges 160 pesos for the same dish, and Mog in Roma Norte charges only 110 pesos for the exact same dish.Overall, Mibong was expensive and is not worth a try. I am so disappointed. The positives are that the staff were absolutely lovely and the food came quickly.
