This was a pleasant surprise for me but I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. Mexico City is quite cosmopolitan and this place proves it. I had an excellent beef dish and my date had some sushi. Service was excellent as well.
We were exploring the area and we find this charming Japanese restaurant. I was a bit concerned since I’m so fussy abut food that I know quite well but I was such a lovely surprise that we asked for tuna toro sashimi and it was...so fresh and totally safe to eat, it was authentic Japanese with Mexican twist we really the enjoy the food and the service.
I’ve been there with a couple of friends last year. I consider myself an expert on Japanese’s restaurants because I’ve been eating Japanese since I was years old. It’s hard to find in Mexico, places where you can eat classic sushi without having to...deal with fusion food. This place respects the traditions even if it’s a little bit more pricey than other places. Give it a try, the ambient is cool, classic and relax so you’ll have a peaceful experience.
Say you get tired of trying Mexican food in this city and you feel like changing styles. Although it is difficult for me to imagine such a thing, If this really happened, then this restaurant would be a good alternative. Nice, traditional Japanese food in...a comfortable place.
A casual Japanese Restaurant that will not disappoint. The quality of the fish is good, it’s fresh and tasty. The menu is extensive, from skewers, to noodles, soups, rolls, nigiris and sashimis. The rolls are Asian/Mexican fusión some have fruit, cream cheese, deep fried etc;...they are very tasty. I recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner with friends, it’s good and the prices are fair and great portions!
