The Barbecue Chicken Pizza is probably better described as the “Onion Parsley Pizza,” as both chicken and barbecue sauce were in very short supply on my pizza. Further, the “original” crust tasted funny and was crispy to the point of being burnt. Service was terribly...slow and unprofessional. I didn’t get my drink until I was half way through with my very so-so Pizza. Staff smoking in front of the restaurant is also a really bad look.
We ordered a Carne Asada pizza, something we ordered in the USA all the time. The pizza was hard, tasteless and had a few pieces of carne asada. Was very surprised and disappointed! I mentioned it but they did not offer to change it or...make it better. We paid and left.
So obviously this isn’t what we came to Mexico to eat. But it ended up being a go-to as it was just down the block from our hotel, the Marriott Reforma, is open late, and provided the occasional comforting tastes of home. The first time...I went was because my daughter really wanted pizza. When I got the bill I thought it was a mistake — around for a pizza with chicken, pineapple and Canadian bacon, and bowls of soup. Apparently there was a special and all pizzas were (approx) after
I was craving some good pizza and this certainly hit the spot. I went for lunch and really had the place to myself- no complaints.
