Merita assolutamente una visita. Vini ottimi e ben consigliati. Cervo, asino e cinghiale, buoni piatti. Consigliato.

After looking for a nice restaurant for a leisurely Sunday lunch, we came across Al Vecchio Faggio and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! We opted for the monthly menu, which consisted of 5 courses and included a glass of wine, for €40. Being November, porcini and truffle were features of this menu and it was divine! A particular standout being the ‘caffè schiumato’, which was unlike any ‘soup’ I’d had before. The restaurant is a lovely place to spend time with friends and family and only a 25 minute drive from Lugano. I am already looking forward to next months menu!

It was quite a long time ago that we had a nice meal there. Still is nice, classic, clean; there was a family event (a birthday lunch) next to us. We had their initial house drink and snacks then we ordered the onions soup; this time was very cheesy, extremely for my taste, really too much... the meat ordered by my partner was very good and the pasta dish was good. Service was a bit slow at times but still a calm place where to have a nice meal away the town crowds.
