Been here twice in 3 weeks. Lots of quiet corners if you want privacy. Lovely gardens too and food is lovely.Friendly staff. I didn't give 5 stars as its pet friendly and bit fussy about thst, but that's my choice to go or not. View all feedback.
What Kate V doesn't like about The Crown:
The food was terrible, nothing seemed to be made from scratch. The beef was tough and lacked flavor, and the potatoes tasted like they had been frozen. The staff was kind and offered wine or dessert as a replacement, but I couldn't accept as I was driving and not a fan of dessert. I used to love coming here for Sunday lunch when I lived nearby, but this experience was extremely disappointing. View all feedback.

We always have a fantastic time at this restaurant! The cocktails, food, staff, and atmosphere are all amazing. A special thanks to Lucy, who always takes care of us and ensures our experience is top-notch every time! The outdoor garden is perfect for summer nights, with heaters and huts available for colder months. I highly recommend trying the strawberry mojito!
I visited this restaurant last year for the Soullife event, which we were unaware of happening. We were in the garden when we found out about the event and were not asked to buy tickets until we went outside again. I was with two friends who are locals and one of them used to drink here regularly. They mentioned that the food was not great. When we tried to order food that night, it was too busy. There seemed to be a lack of staff both inside and outside for the event. However, the drinks were good. Unfortunately, there were people taking drugs at the event, which was unexpected for a family-friendly pub with children present. It's a shame because the pub and garden are nice, but the interior decor, especially the toilets, is poor.
Had a amazing experience at 'The Crown ', the food was of very good quality, the service was quick and overall the food/drink was great value for money. The garden was lovely, a great way to spend a summer 's day. . I look forward to returning to 'The Crown ' very soon, I would highly recommend 'The Crown ' as a great place to visit.
Nice looking pub from the outside. Tired inside. Food was poor to average at best. Mushroom starters and onion rings just tasted of grease. Gammon was undercooked and tasteless, while the eggs were overcooked to the point of rubber. Excessive wait (nearly an hour) for it to arrive. No offer of mustard, mayo, salad cream, etc. Just salt, vinegar, and a grotty looking bottle of tomato sauce. No offer of replacement cutlery between courses either. Would have happily sent the lot back, but my other half didn't want a scene. Tables left uncleared after diners left. Our server was abrupt to the point of rudeness (think he was the manager). Gents had a pond in it. OK, to sit outside with a pint, but wouldn't eat there again. Fully expect the standard copy and paste response others have had from the pub with no interest in actually taking the feedback on board.
