Gourmet Kitchen - Croydon

I placed an order through Just Eat and they were out of crispy pork, but they called to offer me duck instead, which I agreed to. However, when the food arrived (very quickly), it was cold, bland, and lacked flavor. The mixed seafood with ginger and spring onion had a lot of mussels but very little squid or prawns; the King Prawn fried rice was the most tasteless I've ever had; the salt and pepper wings were dry and overcooked. My mom liked the Peking ribs and duck (hence the 2 stars), but overall I would not order from here again.

Avoid ordering online as you end up paying over 25% more to a third party without the convenience of delivery. It's better to visit the restaurant in person for some good food.

I ordered through ubereats and made a specific request to not include carrots in my pad thai. Unfortunately, my request was not followed. I am very disappointed and will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

So I walked in and asked for something quick to order and was directed to choose no. 29 mixed meats and rice for £6.80 and when I presented Apple Pay I was charged £7.60 by an old woman who when I alerted her to the charge tried to fake an apology and offer to refund the difference. SHE WAS CLEARLY TRYING TO ROB ME.

For at least 20 years. eat Chinese food in many countries, but their takeaways are the tops, love their sweet and sour garnels!
