I genuinely cannot remember the last time I was this disappointed with a takeaway. After ordering from Anna’s Thai in Croydon, I honestly feel compelled to leave a review to warn other people before they waste their money like we did. From the moment we opened the containers, the food already looked unappetising. The special fried rice was absolutely dreadful and unlike any fried rice I’ve ever seen from a Thai restaurant. The rice was soft, wet, clumped together and sticking like mashed potato. There was no separation in the grains whatsoever — just a mushy, glue-like texture that looked and tasted as though it had been reheated in a microwave multiple times. It certainly did not taste fresh, and it was completely inedible. The spare ribs were equally bad. Almost entirely fat with barely any meat, chewy and unpleasant to eat. It genuinely felt like the cheapest possible cuts had been thrown into a container and sent out without any care whatsoever. The chicken ginger dish was another huge disappointment — bland, watery and lacking any authentic flavour. The chicken itself tasted poor quality and the entire dish felt rushed and lazily prepared. What made the experience even worse was that none of the food tasted fresh. Everything had that reheated, stale takeaway taste that immediately makes you question how long it had been sitting around before being served. For the prices they charge, the quality was honestly shocking. I’ve had Thai food from many different restaurants across London and Croydon, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. There was absolutely no authenticity, no freshness and no care put into the food. It honestly felt like a complete waste of money from start to finish. I rarely leave reviews this negative, but people deserve to know what they are paying for. There are countless better Thai restaurants nearby that serve fresh, properly cooked food with actual flavour and decent ingredients. I would strongly advise people to avoid this place and spend their money elsewhere. Without exaggeration, this was the kind of meal that completely puts you off ordering from a restaurant ever again.

Ordered on uber eats, was told our order would arrive in 45 minutes but we ended up waiting an hour and a half. When we phoned up 45 minutes after placing our order we were told it would take another 30 minutes, then 20 minutes, then 5 minutes, the times just kept changing. They use their own delivery drivers and the excuse for the late delivery was bad traffic. Inconsistent communication and horribly slow delivery. Would not order again.

Good Thai food and slightly over priced. Walkable from the nearest bus stop. Usually, Green or red curry comes with a rice for free, however, in this restaurant, you need to order rice separately which costs from 3.5 pounds onwards. Staffs were friendly
