Description

Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews. While some patrons laud its delicious, authentic cuisine and exceptional service, others express disappointment over slow service, bland dishes, and the recent removal of its alcohol license. Guests are advised of a £4 cover charge and are encouraged to purchase drinks from a nearby Tesco. Although some customers cherish their experiences and appreciate the friendly atmosphere and chef's specials, a notable number warn against returning due to undercooked food and lengthy waits. Overall, potential diners may want to consider these varied experiences before visiting.

Customers should be informed that the restaurant is no longer licensed when making a reservation. Additionally, there is a £4 cover charge per person and after being told to purchase drinks from the nearby Tesco. The service was very slow, with a wait of over an hour for the main course after finishing the poppadoms. I will not be returning and would recommend avoiding this restaurant.

We have ordered takeout from this restaurant a couple of times, but this was our first time dining in at Indo. The welcome was fabulous and the service was very courteous. The food was also amazing, freshly made and served piping hot.

I was told that our food would be ready in 30 minutes, but when I went to collect it after 45 minutes, I had to wait another 20+ minutes. We have ordered food from this restaurant several times before and it has been okay. However, this time the chapatis were not cooked properly and were mostly raw dough, which was very unpleasant. The dhansak had no distinct taste and was quite bland. Additionally, we were not impressed with the vegetable selection - there were only a few pieces of potato and mixed frozen vegetables (peas, sweet corn, green beans). The Bombay potato had a bland flavor and contained hard potatoes. We would have returned the food, but we had to leave. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.

It takes a lot to impress me, especially when it comes to restaurants. I recently tried this place under new ownership, and the food was delicious. Plus, you can bring your own alcohol. I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the mood for Indian cuisine.
