I live and work in Crows Nest, so over the years I've had the opportunity to try every coffee place in the suburb. ZarBar is the best As any coffee lover will know, the barista makes a difference. Nothing fancy, just simple food done well. Off on a slightly quieter side street, it's a hole in the wall cafe with a couple of small tables on the street. The breakfast menu is simple cheap, they had sold out of the thin egg wrap with salmon by mid morning, so had the ham, tomato, egg, ricotta toast on black bread. Simple delicious. The bloke with a beard who is mostly there is a true gentleman, their other staff are both great too. Excellent coffee and friendly service. Cakes are good and they have pre packed meals made at their main shop available too.

I only come here because the barista called Blake always gives great customer service and great coffee and always leaves us with a smile on our face.
Great service, coffee and food. Alex the barista there is the best: friendly, lovely and laughs at my jokes.
While only a small cafe, the food is always good, and the barista, Blake, is always a delight to talk to
