Menu

A complete menu of Paradoxe from Crows Nest featuring all 10 dishes and drinks can be found here on the menu.

Paradox offers a unique dining experience with a mix of average French food and abysmal service. While the entrees showcase the finer qualities of French cuisine, the wait times for each course were exceptionally high, and the staff lacked friendliness and finesse. Despite these shortcomings, the seafood and sweet dishes stood out, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant provides a cozy and romantic setting with an affordable four-course menu and BYO drinks. The food is simple yet perfectly executed, offering generous portions at a reasonable price, making Paradox a great option for those seeking classic French cuisine without the glamour and high prices typically associated with French restaurants. Overall, Paradox is a savior for those looking for a dining option when other restaurants are closed, offering great value and delicious food.

Was Adolphus Bradtke at Paradoxe a mag?
I went to Paradoxe for my birthday and I loved it! The food was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are looking for a classic French cuisine. View all feedback.

What Aliza Kling dislikes about Paradoxe:
This isn't just bad, it is really dreadful. The food matches the music.. Late seventies. Everything overcooked and prepped so far in advance that the meat was leathery. No atmosphere but worst of all cheap and nasty cutlery. I was holding out for the Creme brûlée but that turned out to be an egg custard with caramelised sugar on top. I'm glad I went as now at least I don't have to wonder about it anymore. View all feedback.

A restaurant with average french food and abysmal service. The entrees were a good representation of the finer qualities of French food, however it went downhill from there. Wait times for each course were exceptionally high. It also seemed some of the staff were unfriendly at times and lacked any real finis when serving food and collecting our cutlery. A general less than satifactory service and will not be going there again.

Paradox is a hidden gem located on Falcon St Crows Nest and has been in business for over 20 years. No wonder, the small French menu is an affordable $55 per person for three courses (a second entree is offered as an option and complimentary, which makes it four courses) and it's BYO. The chef has perfected his menu and it comes out quite quickly and with little fan fair. Almost like all the effort is put into the flavour. It isn't fancy, just really delicious food and in a homely setting. I really loved it mainly for the incredibly reasonable price for the quality of the food. If you are looking for uber fancy French restaurant, this isn't for you. However if you are looking for a great meal, BYO and without feeling poor when you walk out, this place is PERFECT! foodiemookie.com

Fantastic French in simple setting. At Paradox the food is simple and almost perfectly executed. Forget glamorous decor, pretentious service and ridiculously high bills for small portions. Paradox is the opposite. You get generous portions in a simple setting with homely service for an very reasonable $53 per person for four courses. There's no charge corkage if you take your own wine. Expect the classics such as rustic pate, escargots, delicious duck interspersed with excellent creamy soups, prawn bisque, succulent scallops, poached barramundi and a very good lamb shank followed by a selection of desserts including an irresistible cardamom infused creme brûlée. Yum. Paradox is open for...read more

Fun and romantic. My amazing girlfriend took me to Paradoxe to celebrate my birthday tonight. I was pretty excited as we live very close by and walk past at least once per week (check out the Tour Eiffel in the front window) Makiko (a very Japanese name but a very French lady) greeted us an allowed us to choose our table We were greeted with an amazing set menu, with an optional and complimentary second entree. I literally wanted to taste everything We ordered and the food came at just the right time. We had: Entree: King prawns Liver pate Second: Scallops Quail Mains: Barramundi Duck Dessert: Creme Brulee Apple pie The food was really...read more
