My new FAV site to eat! I was here twice, the first one was of myself, secondly was with friends, and both experiences were great. We had fried chicken and the half-hammer + macnchesse, a must seriously try. Even people who work there were really nice and friendly, so yes, win they win! I'm sure again! View all feedback.
What Quinn Kulas doesn't like about Johnny Lobster:
I had high hopes for JL restaurant, but my lobster roll was disappointing! The $20 roll lacked flavor and was filled with chunks of potato salad. On the other hand, my friend loved the $14.80 soft shell crab roll. View all feedback.
One of the better lobster rolls I've had in Australia. If you consider the price, it's probably the best. At $25 a roll, you get about a whole lobster tail from maybe a 500-600g lobster. That's a lot of deliciousness packed into a perfectly grilled hotdog bun. It's served with chips and a pickle which is just the ideal accompaniment. It's surprisingly filling too... haven't said that about a lobster roll before! We also tried the calamari and the fried chicken which were pretty damn good as well. For dessert, the apple pie with butterscotch and ice cream is worth a try. This place is a lot quieter than it should be, which is surprising. I'm definitely coming back here to try their crab cakes and mac and cheese!
Best lobster roll with a great price! Everything else we had was good - fried chicken, fried calamari, fries. Apple pie reminds us of mcdonads only the taste was much better. All of us left the restaurant with extremely full bellies and a giant smile on our faces ????
Get my dinner at Johnny lobster combo with the fried chicken.. the portion quite big for one person so I eat together with my friend.. the fried chicken really nice thou.
My new fav place to eat! been here twice, first was by myself, second was with friends and both experience was great. we had fried chicken and the half lobster + macNchesse, a must try, seriously. also people who work there were really nice and friendly so yeah, win win! i'll be back for sure!
I suppose my expectations were quite high going to JL but my lobster roll was not amazing! The roll ($20) seemed to lack flavour and even though the portion size was quite substantial, the roll was bulked up with chunks of potato salad! Anyhow, my friend had the soft shell crab roll $14.80 and was totally happy!
