of 21 we went to pubes there. they had clearly worked hard to ensure the security of everyone with a one-way system, etc. I didn't know there was a vegan menu (as in the description on happycow), but there were a few vegan options on the main menu. our party ordered both (vegan burger and beetroot tart) and both were nice. the chips would have been boiled with non-veg so they offered the vegan nachos instead of going... My friend and I went for lunch and the whole experience was a little bit sad rather than the treat we were looking forward to. We both ordered roast pork which did not come with crackling as listed on the menu, the roast parsnip promised... View all feedback.

More vegan choices needed to add to the menu. Listing and labelling is clear.
We went there for a pub lunch on 21 July. They had clearly worked hard on ensuring everyone's safety with a one-way system in place etc. I wasn't aware that there was a vegan menu (as in the description on HappyCow), but there were a couple of vegan options on the main menu. Our party ordered both (vegan burger and beetroot tart) and both were nice. The chips would have been cooked with non-veg so they offered the vegan nachos instead to go with the vegan burger. It has a nice garden to sit in and the staff were helpful and friendly. Worth a visit.
We had a reservation for 1.30pm but arrived at 1pm. We were told that food orders would not be taken until 1.30pm, but we could sit at our table and order drinks. However, our drinks were forgotten and we had to order them again with apologies. When we finally ordered our food at 1.30pm, we decided to have a starter before our main course. The skewered chicken was lukewarm and served on cold pink coleslaw with a strange dark sauce. We also ordered skins on chips, but they were missing the skins. We had to order another drink when our meals arrived, and that was also forgotten and had to be re-ordered. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the service and the quality of the food. It's a shame because this place used to be a great family pub. We won't be returning.
The food at this restaurant was not up to par. The gammon was too salty, the meal was not very hot, and the egg on the gammon was overcooked. It was a real disappointment, especially considering the restaurant used to have a good reputation for their food.
