When she does look up, her demeanor can be awkward, and at times she comes across as rude or even gives off unsettling, racially insensitive vibes, showing a clear discomfort with diverse cultures. Ultimately, it's the chefs who save this restaurant’s reputation with their excellent food, because the service is unfortunately not deserving of more than a 1-star rating from me. View all feedback.

I had a fantastic evening! The filet mignon was among the best I've ever tasted. We also enjoyed shrimp and scallops, which were outstanding. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last!
As someone who has experience in customer service, I find it quite simple to deliver good service; however, SAMURAI in Croton Hudson, NY seems to struggle with this concept. I visit for lunch occasionally, and the young hostess at the front door lacks basic social skills. She doesn’t greet guests with a simple “Hi, how are you?” or a “Thank you for coming.” Instead, she spends most of her time glued to her phone, seemingly unaware that there's a world beyond her screen. When she does look up, her demeanor is often ditzy or rude, and she gives off vibes that come across as racially insensitive, making it seem like she doesn’t know how to interact with people from different cultures. Ultimately, it’s your talented chefs who save the reputation of this place with their delicious food, as your service staff certainly aren’t giving me any reason to rate this establishment higher than one star!
My family was there and I was sad I couldn't make it. So I thought maybe I could call in and suprise them by offering to pay it online. I am so glad they helped me and took the payment online. Will always appreciate for the staff to take care of it the wayI would have if I was there. Also the food was lovely. Thanks a ton. Looking forward in coming there in person when I am in NY.
