The Village Plaice - Crossgar

I don't usually leave reviews but maybe I should start. Our food was greasy, you could taste the oil flavour which was disgusting and off-putting. The pastie was mushy and didn't taste like any pastie I've had before. The chips were mainly bad, black bits throughout. We couldn't eat the food and will not be back. A total waste of money. I placed an order for collection on Saturday evening (12.11.22), and although the rest of the order was fine the Cheesy chip with gravy was very very disappointing. Instead of it being in the usual Medium size polystyrene container it was in a small foil dish eg: that rice would come in if you were to order a Chinese. I don't complain about things but this was just not good enough. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30

Had lovely fish and jumbo sausages really enjoy your food empress with fish especially hard to get lovely fish so definitely going to get something in your place lovely service and have bit of banter with staff so friendly and great service thank
