Kreta is not short of friendly places where they chat the evening with the owner about living and enjoy their evening watching people on the street. this place... read more Kreta is not short of friendly places where they chat the evening with the owner about living and enjoy their evening watching people on the street. this place is definitely worth eating to their list of taverns. the owner is super friendly, speaks many languages and is pleased to accommodate vegans. we had weeds filled to start with and two vegan netzens, both decent and quite large. the menu is large and they can have both baked and fried options. in any case, I would go back if I stayed in rethymno longer. eating was tastier as in the only fully vegan restaurant in the city.

This restaurant is... read more There are plenty of friendly places in Crete where you can spend the evening chatting with the owner, watching people pass by on the street. This restaurant is a must-visit taverna. The owner is very friendly, speaks multiple languages, and is happy to cater to vegans. We started with stuffed grape leaves and had two delicious and sizable vegan main dishes. The menu is extensive, offering both baked and fried options. If I were to stay in Rethymno longer, I would definitely revisit this place. The food was even tastier than at the only fully vegan restaurant in town.

The menu included separate sections for both vegetarian and vegan options. I decided to try the vegetarian plate, which featured a mix of various dishes that were each delicious enough to be a standalone dinner. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
