Books, souvenirs, cool trinkets, musical instruments and supplies, fantastic treats, and some of the best coffee anywhere. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Helping us find what we needed to find in store and around town. Totally a highlight of our trip and easily our favourite place in the Kootenays. View all feedback.

read moreBlack Bear Books is a charming coffee shop with a welcoming atmosphere. While some reviewers experienced racism, others found the staff to be very friendly and engaging. The menu offers delicious treats like brownies and homemade chowder. The space is eclectic, filled with books, local art, and cozy seating. Customers can enjoy Oso Negro coffee and the company of friends while listening to live music. It's a perfect spot to relax and unwind, making it a great stop for a coffee break or a snack while passing through town.
