Well, they still are but we know this now and avoid starters ! . They also cheerfully packed up the part of my steak that I didn't eat for our greedy cats. What is lovely about this place? Well, the owners to start with. And the terrace, which is leafy and peaceful. And the food, of course, which is well cooked and, well, generous! Definitely a place I would recommend for uncomplicated, good quality meals in a lovely setting. Go when you're hungry, and enjoy it for what it is: a great place.

Really, the place is good we've been at lunchtime when it was crowded with local workmen and long distance drivers (it's in the industrial zone , and were impre... read more Really, the place is good we've been at lunchtime when it was crowded with local workmen and long distance drivers (it's in the industrial zone , and were impressed by a good salad bar and by the HUGE portions (frankly, too huge for me and heaven knows I love eating . We also tried it out in the evening, and it was extremely pleasant, well served, good produce. It's also a hotel, so an ideal stopover on the way south. I think the one thing that puts me off is the sheer size of the portions, but then that's just me: I prefer three reasonably sized courses in an evening than being full after the starter...! Definitely worth a visit as the prices are reasonable, the service is charming, and if you're absolutely starving then it's perfect. I don't think I've ever written a review that says the portions are too big before... and this is just a personal thing. I'd definitely recommend the food and the place (and if we go again, I shall just ask for a less gargantuan plateful!

Puis encornet grillé avec légume et sauce armoricaine avec carotte vapeur et gratin dauphinois + désert 2 pastis 1/4 de rosé le tout à 2 pour moins de 20 € par personne . Bravo. Certainement un peu mieux aux beaux jours lorsqu'on peut manger dehors sur une jolie terrasse. Mais beaucoup d'autres mauvais points pour mon passage :Choisi au vu de son site Web, c'est pas du tout fait pour un couple mode romantique. Beaucoup de clients sont des ouvriers du coin (à midi) repas limite bleu de travail et chaussures de sécurité. Le buffet à volonté promis sur le site n'existe plus depuis longtemps. Et même la carte est très différente, au choix limité.Et pour le service, même si le personnel est très sympathique, je déteste qu'on me serve l'entrée AVANT que mon apéritif soit servi ! J'ai donc renvoyé ce dernier. sinon c'est bon et abordable. Les ravioles gratinées valent le coup.
