The owner is friendly and ready to thoroughly explain the creation of the food/dishes. We ordered a red wine of the house and the fixed price menu. On the menu there were a wide selection of food to try, all great. Those that impressed me the most were the tonno di salame which is pork, prepared in a way the seems tuna; the tortelli cremonesi that are sweet and are the typical local dish; the cow tongue with green sauce. Reasonable price, small portion, but you don 't leave the table dissatisfied!

This is a traditional Italian restaurant with what that entails; white table cloths, a smiling and friendly proprietor and an informal and warm atmosphere. We ordered a starter to share and one main course for each. We were then treated to two amouse bouche. One of them, a melon soup (I know, sounds crazy), was particularly good. The food was good, but what really got me to give them top marks was the incredibly friendly and pleasant service. When unsure about which dessert wine I wanted, I was offered a chance to try anything they had and pick one I liked. Also, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and the dessert was amazing! Not the place you would describe as exciting, modern or innovative, but high quality traditional food served by caring and competent people. Just what one needs from.
