Shimla, Crawley

We have ordered from here a few times now and although it sometimes takes a little while to arrive it's worth the wait. The best Indian takeaway we have had in crawley would Def recommended.

I waited for over 2 hours for a takeout order and when I complained, I was told that's just how it is and to try a different place next time if I wasn't happy. This is completely unacceptable.

The Last few months the Shimla had been going down hill, The bar closed down and the restaurant closed down for a few weeks, but after being taken over by a new owner the Shimla is back with a bang !!!!!!!, we have had two take aways this week and last night we went round to have a meal in the restaurant, ok the decor is not the greatest but the food is to die for,,,,,,, This review is coming from someone who has eaten curries all over England, raised in Clapham on the doorstep to Tooting..........nuff said lol

Used to be known as a good local Indian restaurant, unfortunately the food is no longer top class. Their is no atmosphere as the place is always empty. The drinks extremely pricey and the staff uncompromising. A shame really.

My friend and I used to go to shimlas once a month for a meal and to be honest it was very good, but not so now. Like the other reviewer said, the staff change all the time and the staff there now are not customer friendly at all. The food has gone more than down hill. The sheek kebab starters are like rubber. The chicken main was not hot and the chicken wasn't cooked properly. I wouldnt be surprised if customers came away from here with food poisening!! The other major gripe is the ladies toliets. There are two toilets, and one had been out of order with a piece of wire holding the door closed for prob 2 YEARS or more. Disgusting ! I have heard the pub is up for sale and the whole complex will be sold. To be honest I think that is the best thing that could happen to this place now. Awful
