Reviews summary
Bar 13 in Settle seems to have mixed reviews from visitors. Some found it unwelcoming and closed early, while others were impressed by the variety of drinks available, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. Customers appreciated the range of real ales, wines, spirits, and specialty beers on offer. The bar allows dogs, has reasonable prices, and offers a selection of nibbles. Despite its compact size, Bar 13 has a good atmosphere and is popular among locals. With some patrons vowing to return, it seems like a cosy spot for drinks in the heart of Settle.

What a great little bar. There were three real ales on offer. The friendly landlord insisted we tasted them all before we settled on Oakham Inferno. They were all in excellent condition. We went in shortly after it opened at 3:00pm and there was only two other customers. By 5:00pm it was rammed. Clearly a very popular bar with both locals and tourists alike. We will be going back during our short stay in nearby Giggles... View all feedback.
What sandragW2712GF dislikes about 13:
Turned up this bar just before ten pm. It had the closed sign on the door. But we noticed quite a few people drinking in there. A guy walked in just before us and was having a drink pulled by the bar man so we asked if we could have a drink only to be told they were closed even though on the Web site it says there open till eleven pm local bar for local people. Obviously they don't need tourism when it suits. Disappo... View all feedback.

What a gem this place is. Me and the wife Spent Saturday in settle as we where doing a bit of walking up there. We had been to two pubs before we found Bar 13 and what a find it was. It's a small cosy very friendly micro pub. The owner is a really nice friendly guy. The bar has a great choice of local ales and plenty of other drinks available. I found the prices to be reasonable. If I lived local that would be my go to watering hole. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Great spot for drinks with friends. This was definitely the best bar we went to. All the other pubs seemed quiet and more focused on catering to tourists. We had to leave early as we had to catch a train, but I will definitely come back next time we are in town."
We walked in as they were closing and the hostess was very accommodating and served us with a smile. Great atmosphere, we will definitely be back.
It was my first visit on Friday night. As a gin drinker I was pleased to see quite an extensive variety on offer. I decided on raspberry gin which was served in a large glass over ice and frozen raspberries with tonic. It was very delicious !! The place itself was quite compact and lively with a friendly atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly and attentive and the prices reasonable. I will definitely be visiting again !!!
This bar is excellent, offering a great selection of real ales and specialty bottled beers. Although I came for the beer, my companion was equally impressed with the quality of the wine. We both enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and fantastic staff.
I found the website for this bar before a recent visit to Settle with friends. A very welcoming atmosphere and a great selection of local ales and gins. If you are in the area this is well worth a visit and a little bit different from the usual pubs you find in the Yorkshire Dales.
