Visited many times over the years. Excellent menu with good range to suit everyone’s tastebuds. This morning busy as per usual, but quickly seated and orders taken. Food arrived in good time, well presented and tasting good. Enjoyable, relaxed breakfast… as it should be View all feedback.
What Hanbeth doesn't like about Keelham:
I have visited this restaurant multiple times over the last few years. I was very disappointed this time. The food was good but nothing remarkable, and the prices were too high. Paying over £12 for a vegetarian breakfast that doesn't even include toast, and then being charged an extra £1.20 for toast, seems like a bit much to me. View all feedback.
A decent place for lunch using produce from the farm shop. We shared the goats cheese small plate and the Ploughmans. We enjoyed both.
Friendly service as always from the staff in the restaurant. On this occasion I had the American style pancakes with bacon (lovely and crisp) with maple sauce. Accompanied by a perfectly made cappuccino, an excellent way to start the day
The brunch menu is delightful, offering good food along with the option to do some shopping at the farm shop. The lady at the front of house was especially pleasant and accommodating, managing to find us a table on a busy Sunday. The only downside is that they do not take reservations, so my suggestion is to arrive earlier rather than later, especially on a Sunday.
The food at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. My companion and I ordered the Yorkshire Breakfast at 8:15am, and it was a complete letdown. The meal was greasy, and even though we requested well-done sausage and bacon, they were undercooked and tough. The eggs were overdone and swimming in grease. To make matters worse, my wife asked for a pot of tea but was given hot water with no tea bag. When the tea was eventually brought, it was weak and lukewarm. This was not a cheap meal, and we felt like we wasted our money. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction to the waitress, she just said she would pass on our comments. I suggest avoiding this place and not being swayed by the appearance of the restaurant. It was a big mistake for us to dine there.
Over the Easter weekend Keelhams think it’s a good idea to take a sheep and it’s two lambs from a barn and placed them in a pen in the foyer of their food hall. I knew standards had slipped at Keelhams but this is ridiculous. When I read about this on social media I thought it was a late April Fools joke. The pen is between two automatic doors where people enter and exit the building with their trolleys and their screaming kids. The pen is also next to a window looking onto the car park. Keelhams state that the sheep are staying with them for a few days instead of being in a barn. Well sorry Keelhams but I’m sure the sheep would rather be in a barn with their own kind, in peace and quiet, and not shoved into a pen in the noisy entrance to a supermarket. Instead of deleting the concerned posts on your social media page, why not take a good look at what you’re doing and accept that this stunt is for your own gain, and has nothing to do with the welfare of the sheep.
