Fanticy Tearooms - Craven

My mother and I stopped in this restaurant for a cup of tea to take shelter from the rain for a while. Our tea quickly turned into scones, which were warm and delicious with beautiful jam. We ended up trying some cupcakes as well, and I couldn't resist taking home some gingerbread men and cake pops for my children. My 6 year old declared them to be absolutely delicious.

I had a great experience at this café that serves delicious coffee brewed in a French press, accompanied by a selection of stunning cakes. Give it a try - you won't be let down.

You walk through the cake decorating shop to a cafe which has shelves of cakes of all descriptions, wedding, cup cakes, themed, etc. I enjoyed a fruit scone with jam and my husband had carrot cake, which comprised two cakes on top of each other with a carrot decoration on top, quite unusual. A large pot of tea completed our tea break. Well worth a visit. They don't have a toilet but have an arrangement with the Coffee Mill cafe opposite so you can use theirs.

I recently discovered a lovely hidden gem just off the main street on the way to the Craven Court Victorian shopping arcade. This shop is a cake decorating shop with a charming tea room in the back. The staff were very friendly and served us promptly. The Yorkshire fruit cake with Wensleydale cheese was delicious. Despite only ordering one portion, it was enough for both of us. We also ordered coffee and were pleasantly surprised to be brought a cafetiere that provided us with two cups each. The prices were very reasonable and the quality was excellent. I highly recommend paying a visit to this spot if you haven't already.

Called in for a quick snack and a cup of tea today. Tea room only been open 2 weeks but it was lovely. Tea pot and China cup and saucer, had 3 cups of tea out of it. Tea cake toasted to perfection with a big slice of butter and some really fruity jam. The staff were lovely and nothing seemed to be too much bother for them. The shop it's self is so lovely, the cakes and cup cakes looked divine.i wish them every success with the lovely tea room.
