Contribute Feedback What Heather Steinmiller likes about Volcano's Lava Rock Cafe:
We had a great breakfast here the Hawai'ian bread French toast sent my daughter into orbit. My pancake short stack was definitely filling, and my husband's Loco Moco breakfast was exactly what he wanted. Service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Our server even went next door to get me a cappuccino. Nothing fancy here, just dependable and tasty food. View all feedback.
What Jackson Markham doesn't like about Volcano's Lava Rock Cafe:
The Lava Rock Cafe’s a good place to stop when you’re at the national parks. The food does leave something to be desired, but it is truthfull decent food with a lovely staff. Not to mention, it’s also a convenience store, coming in handy after a long day of hiking. View all feedback.
Some of the best food I’ve ever had I highly recommend the guava cheesecake

I wasn’t expecting much walking in but the food was great, that hamburger steak was amazing with the made in-house gravy, so was the Mac n cheese, not much variety of seafood on the seafood platter though.
We had a party of 10, I know this makes things more difficult for the restaurant but there was maybe one other table there. No one enjoyed their meal, including the two least picky of the bunch. The only thing I would recommend would be the sweet potato fries, but out of the two orders, one was mushy. The server was nice but it was difficult to get refills. Being close to the national park was about the only thing that it had going for it.
Good spot for lunch! We were the only ones there, and the service was good.
