Feedback
At The Stables, customer experiences range from delightful to disappointing. Some patrons laud the delicious food and excellent service, particularly praising the attentive staff during group celebrations and special events like Valentine's Day. However, others recount frustrating encounters marked by inattentiveness and miscommunication, leading to feelings of neglect. The restaurant's ambiance is generally appreciated, though noise levels can detract from the enjoyment. Accessibility features are noted as a plus, and while many vow to return, a few vow never to set foot back due to inadequate service. Overall, The Stables offers an uneven dining experience worth considering.
Cost per person ranges between £20-30. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4.
This restaurant offers excellent food at affordable prices, especially considering the current economic situation. The service is top-notch as well. It's hard to find anything to fault here. In terms of wheelchair accessibility, there are dedicated parking spaces and a ramp to the entrance, although the doors do require manual opening. The space between tables is ample and the bathroom facilities are good. Overall, a great dining experience for a budget of £1-10 per person. 5/5 for the food.
I came here on Thursday for lunch with my friends from school to celebrate my birthday. I then returned on Saturday evening with my whole family for dinner. Even though there was a large group of us, the service was fast and excellent, and the food was outstanding. They have a wheelchair ramp for accessibility. I would rate the food and service a perfect 5 out of 5.
Today, I went to this restaurant for lunch with 2 family members. The hostess at the door asked if we had a reservation, to which we replied that we did not. Despite there being only 3 occupied tables, she seemed hesitant to find us a table. She did not greet us with a "good afternoon" or "how are you", and her lack of a smile was quite noticeable. After taking our drink order, she quickly attended to 3 new customers who arrived after us, serving them drinks and taking their food order before even acknowledging us. Feeling ignored, we decided to leave and spent £120 at another establishment where we were treated respectfully. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry and visited this restaurant many times in the past, I was disappointed by the poor treatment we received. This woman's lack of customer service skills is a detriment to your business, and my family and I will not be returning.
My family and I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, homemade, and very comforting. The service was exceptional, from the hostess who welcomed us to the waitress who took care of our table - they were friendly and welcoming.
