Carmine's Refugio Italiano - Coxsackie

Carmine's is fantastic! The pizza is delicious, and they offer delivery!

I opted for a sausage calzone ($11 plus tax), which was made fresh and ready for me in about 15 minutes. The calzone was delicious—hot, with thick, soft, and slightly chewy dough packed with ricotta, mozzarella, and ground sausage, accompanied by a zesty tomato sauce on the side. I enjoyed my meal outside, taking advantage of the lovely sunny weather. The owner was managing both the kitchen and the counter when I arrived. He asked if I would be paying with cash or card. I usually pay in cash and was informed that if I had exact change ($11.88), it would be helpful, as his wife had just gone to the bank and taken the cash with her. Luckily, I had a handful of loose change and could pay the exact amount, which the owner greatly appreciated.

The pizza was absolutely delicious!
