The menu is full of traditional delicacies and runs as a buffet with old fashioned tableware. Apart from all the starters, there's also a main, which in that day was an incredibly tasty roasted pork belly! A must in the region

The starter... read more This Restaurant is in the Hotel Serra da Estrela. The price is fix 19.50 for adults and half for children. The drinks are not included in the price. The starters, main course and the desserts are buffet. I was quite disappointed with the choices. The Main course is one dish only. Normally there should be an option between fish and meat, but in this case there is only one option. The starters are good with enough choice. The desserts are good but if you are not a fan of traditional Portuguese deserts (quite sweet for me) you don’t have many choice. The decoration is nice and the stuff are friendly but not enough to be satisfied with what you pay!

In the meal they served (as buffet) regional food, as Portuguese bean stew, sausages and other typical meals. Ended up eating some deep fried food, as well as regular pizza. The deserts were good, though (although with few options only). If you are looking for regional (and typical Portuguese) food, It might worth the visit. The food was well cooked and nicely presented, the staff was nice and the atmosphere was definitely a plus! The view from up there is also very good.

I didn't eat but LOVED the atmosphere, the music, the styling, the warm attitude of the hosts. A VERY PLEASANT DINNER in a very fair price (14 Euros for a free buffet)
