Ordered a bacon sandwich which came with tacos, a lo... read more Called into Flames Bar and Cafe on a lunchtime after calling into Coventry City Centre to do some shopping. Ordered a bacon sandwich which came with tacos, a lovely bit of salad and a creamy coleslaw. The coffee came at the same time as the food and was nice and hot. All in all delicious food served quickly and lovely staff to go with it. Its not the first time I have eaten here and certainly won't be the last. Good food and very reasonable prices cooked fresh on a daily basis.

The decor is great, gives it a traditional cafe feel and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

We often have a snack and coffee and the food is always hot and well pres... read more Have visited Flames on two occasions when meeting an old work colleague at lunch time. We often have a snack and coffee and the food is always hot and well presented. What is nice is that when the weather is nice we can sit outside and enjoy the good weather and when not so nice we can sit inside. The staff are always pleasant and efficient without having to wait any length of time to be served.

Came in here a 2 times for breakfast, first visit the staff was very rude, we asked for no black pudding and it came out with black pudding, my friend came in w... read more Came in here a 2 times for breakfast, first visit the staff was very rude, we asked for no black pudding and it came out with black pudding, my friend came in with a sausage roll was told to put it away as they don’t welcome outside food which we completely understood she put it away but what wasn’t okay was the chef barging out and raising his voice at my friend. After the 1st visit one of my friends suggested we go eat here I was hesitatent but thought I’ll give it another try, as soon as I sat down was told to move which is fine but annoying as the place had lots of free tables, the way the waistress spoke is horrendous, they belittle people who are just trying to enjoy there morning with a breakfast, one of the guys on 2 tables away from me only ordered coffee whereas his two friends ordered a large breakfast, she came out of the counter after spoke to the man like he was a child, are u only ordering 2 meals, you know you can’t share the mega, he said yes she said you can’t eat his food. I thought that was terrible, everybody in the cafe could hear. Never been to a place so unwelcoming, as soon as you walk in no friendly welcome, being in there they make you feel so unwelcome like your bothering them .I’ve never made a review or took my time to do this as I’ve never experienced such a horrible place. I think you should value the customers you do have a be a little nicer to people. Would tell everybody to avoid this place for sure!!

The b... read more We were on our last morning before travelling home and wanted a breakfast to keep us going. We ordered the Mega breakfast and sat outside in the sunshine. The breakfast was very good and we both tried hard to finish it but were defeated by the toast. The service was very friendly and we felt really welcome. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good breakfast all sizes available! Yum.

My friends and I visit Coventry annually for an event, and we always struggle to find good, affordable places to eat. We were delighted to stumble upon this gem in the City Centre. It's a small establishment with friendly staff and a unique, quirky decor. We first visited for a late breakfast where I enjoyed a fantastic salmon and eggs on toast, which was delicious and reasonably priced. My friend opted for the Full English breakfast, which looked equally appetizing. We also enjoyed some nice coffees with our meal. Later in the afternoon, just before closing, we came back for more. I had a toasted salmon and egg sandwich, while others in my group tried the club sandwiches and baguettes, all of which were generously filled and great value for money. We will definitely be returning to this place next time we're in Coventry!

I norm have either a breakfast or egg on toast both are amazing the only down point i would say there is is that i dont like black pudding and you cant change it for mushrooms but obviously thats just a personal preference otherwise a lovely place nice friendly staff
