My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here. The ceremony was in the pavilion, they did not move garbage cans or picnic tables from the area. They piled them all in an area which was right behind where were standing and would have been in every picture! The reception was horrible. Half of the alcohol had been put away. They piled them all in an area which was right behind where were standing and would have been in every picture! The reception was horrible. Half of the alcohol had been put away. Our dinner was not what we agreed to and it was not the food we tasted. We wanted a salmon with cream sauce and a mediterranean chicken. We got plain salmon and chicken, not even any salt. I, the groom, had the smallest piece of chicken I have ever seen. And, of course, the owner was not there that night.
Have been coming here for over ten years, and the food and management have gone way down hill. If you call to make any enquiries don't be surprised that it is a personal cell phone, and they don't answer with a Landing greeting, just a hello, thought I had the wrong number. Ordered the "special" of the night, chicken and Brie on a bun, sounded tasty enough, and asked what that was served with and was told fries. I asked if I could substitute with a salad and was told yes, for an additional $2.00 fee. When they brought out my "sand which" I could not believe what they were serving. It was literally a thin dry chicken burger on a sea same seed bun-hello McDonalds. The cesare salad that I paid extra for was in a tiny soup bowl, all I ate of it was one crouton and it was chewy. I have never returned a meal before but I thought there was no way I was eating this. The Brie was just a cold hard strip with two small tomatoes and a dry bun. I called the waitress over- pleasant girl, and said excuse me but how much are you charging for this meal? She told me $16.95 and I just shook my head and said I'm sorry, I simply can't eat this, it is completely not what I expected, and I want to return it and order something else, anything, just bring me out a plate of nachos please. I figured that would be safe, chips cheddar, not many surprises there. She came back out and told me the waiter said I had to pay for the untouched meal either way and did I still want the nachos. I said no thank you, I would rather not waste any more money here. My mother got a small piece of salmon that she said was dry, on a stack of fries-$17.95. Not unreasonable, at least it was real salmon! Management clearly had no intentions of pleasing customers, maybe someday when they change ownership, I may return, but judging from the lack of patrons on a lovely summer evening at 5:30, he won't be around for much longer. Hopefully someone will come along that can turn this potentially hidden jem around. I ended up going downstairs and having an ice cream cone for dinner. It was quite delicious, and a very generous scoop for $2.50.
